“Life is no brief candle to me. It is sort of a splendid torch that I’ve got a hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.” – George Bernard Shaw

The torch I hold is fueled by all those people who strive to discover their true and authentic selves, who dig deep within themselves to find their hidden courage and by those whose selfless giving is an inspiration to us all.

That word, “inspiration” from the Latin “in spiritu”, meaning to breathe in the very spirit and life of another, is the flame of my torch.

I am inspired by companies that hold true to their core values and beliefs. I am inspired by leaders who walk the corridors and by the  associate whose one idea is a game changer. I am inspired by the tenacity of the human spirit, the strength of the human psyche, and the tenderness of the human heart.

I see it in my clients who climb one more step of a 30 foot ladder and go further than they ever thought they could. I see it when they face their fears and challenge their years of ingrained thinking, when they put aside their ego and own up to their fallibility and when they offer themselves up to learning, growth and understanding.

These people make organizations great – by risking, challenging, owning and creating the results in their lives.

These people are all of us and as long as the flame lives within us then it is my pleasure to do what I can to help make that flame burn more brightly.

This is why I do this work and this is why I am blessed.
